DRAFT for the owner and a lawyer to finish. This is a plain-language starting point, not legal advice, and it is not yet in force. Items marked TODO must be completed or confirmed.
Terms of use
Draft, last edited 27 October 2026. TODO: effective date
These terms apply to Yoma, the journal app for Android (com.getyoma.app), and to this website, getyoma.com. How we handle your data is described in our privacy policy.
The short version
- What you write in Yoma is yours.
- Yoma is free to start. Premium is a subscription that renews automatically until you cancel.
- Printed books are made to order from your pages.
- If you stop paying, you keep your books and your writing.
Who these terms are with
These terms are between you and TODO: legal entity name and address ("Yoma", "we").
Your content
You own everything you put in Yoma: your recordings, writing and photos. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can run the app for you, make your books and print them when you order. Please only add photos and recordings you have the right to use.
Plans and payment
- Free: two journals (your Diary plus one more), every book design, and three AI Stories a day.
- Yoma Premium: ₪20 a month or ₪120 a year in Israel ($4.99 / $29.99 elsewhere), with a free first week on the yearly plan: unlimited journals, up to 50 AI Stories a day, and print perks (20 pages free in every book, the matte art paper at no extra cost, at least ₪30 less on every extra copy, and on the yearly plan ₪50 off one book a year).
- Subscriptions are billed by the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. To avoid a charge, cancel in your store's subscription settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. If you cancel during the free week, you are not charged.
- Refunds for subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their policies. TODO: confirm.
- If you stop paying, your account returns to the Free plan. Nothing you wrote is deleted, and books you made stay readable and printable.
Printed books
- The book: an A5 hardcover (148 × 210 mm), 24 to 300 pages counted with the covers. Prices are in shekels, with shipping within Israel included, and a book’s price is shown in the app before you pay. The first book you ever print is ₪30 off. The first-book and the yearly-book discounts do not add up; the bigger is taken.
- Books are printed to order from the pages you approve, so please check your book in the app before ordering.
- If a book arrives damaged or misprinted, tell us with a photo. TODO: reprint or refund promise, time limit, print partner.
- Printed books are delivered within Israel for now. TODO: delivery times, and the cancellation window after ordering.
Delivery, import VAT and customs
- Books are printed by our print partner, Prodigi, in Europe and sent to Israel by courier.
- They are shipped DAP (Delivered At Place): the price you pay covers the book and its delivery to your door, but not any import charges. If Israeli customs charges import VAT or customs duty on the parcel, the person receiving it may be asked to pay it, to the courier or to customs, before or on delivery.
- Whether a charge applies depends on the parcel’s value and on Israeli import rules at the time, which we do not control. TODO: state the current threshold, or whether a single book is normally under it.
- If a parcel is refused or not collected because import charges were not paid, TODO: what happens (return, reshipping cost, refund).
AI features
Transcription and AI story writing can make mistakes. You can edit every word before it goes in a book, and you decide what is printed.
Acceptable use
Don't use Yoma to break the law, to store content you don't have the right to, or to attack or overload the service.
Ending your account
You can export your data and delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why where we can.
Liability and law
TODO: limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer, governing law and courts, consumer-law carve-outs and dispute resolution, to be written by a lawyer.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
